Happy Spring everyone!  Before I get into my recap you are probably wondering what’s with the picture.  Well, some of you mentioned I have no pictures of my husband in the shop, and I just love this picture of Chris with Mikayla, so here you go lol.  This was their date to the Daddy Daughter ball the Deep River Hospital Foundation has every year.  They had so much fun! These two are my world, I love them to the moon.  Although I’m the one that keeps all things running here and I enjoy what I do, they keep me level and they are always my priority.  ALWAYS.  That’s one of the reasons you may find me closed a bit more often this summer.  In the last year, there have been a lot of changes and events with my family that made me really see, life is precious and needs to be lived.  As much as I want to be here for you everyday, life has to come first.  Having said that, I’m still always here for you!  Just email or message or call and I will do my best to help you.  I know you all understand that, just wanted to share one of my favourite pics and I hope it makes you smile like I do when I see it 🙂

Something I didn’t share with you yet is that I am now a member of the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce as well as a member of the board of directors!  We have such a great business community in the valley I thought it might be nice to volunteer and get involved with them.  The last Thursday of every month will have me closed at 2:45pm so I can attend the monthly meeting.  I will have it posted the week before as a reminder each week so don’t worry about that.  Also, nominations are still open for you nominate a deserving business in the valley for the chambers upcoming business excellence awards, please do so and let that business know how much you love them!  Here’s the link to do so:

So March is almost over and we move into nicer weather and approach the summer..it’s so close!  I am now in the new location for almost 2 whole months and I’m loving it.  If you haven’t been please come and visit, you won’t be disappointed.  It’s so bright and cozy here.  The snowbanks are receding daily so the parking lot is getting bigger too!  you can park anywhere in the lot, there are no assigned spaces.  If the lot is full there is street parking as well on Cecelia.

April has Karan Gerber returning for a weekend of classes.  Check out the post with updates on that included in the newsletter, or visit the website event calendar where you can find all the pictures and details as well.  I must say I do love all three of the projects.  If you want to up your card making game these are the classes to go to!

I hope to see you all soon, there is a lot of new product in the store so come and check it out!

Cards and coffee,

Beth

PS – the grand reopening happened this past Saturday…WOW!  Thank you so much for coming out in droves all day long!  I’m feeling the love and I hope you are too!  If I didn’t get a chance to chat with you, I apologize.  I did not expect to be so busy!  You guys are the best!
