These two projects are so not what I started out to do but I kinda like them anyway. Blame it on too many ideas from Pinterest at one time. It all started with this new stamp set from Stampendous that I really wanted to use. Then I found these glassine bags I totally forgot I had and then I started to play. So for the first project I altered one of these glassine bags to see if I could and it was fun. To transform this plain white bag I used gesso, various sprays and inks and stamps. I decided to also alter a tag that fit into the bag to create a unique way to present a gift card. To alter the tag I used distress oxide ink, stencils and embossing powders. The embellishments use more sprays and inks and flakes to create what I like to think is a very unique mixed media project. Colouring and stamping on ribbon to finish it was really fun too.
The card is rather simple but striking by combining the grunge factor with highlighted painted roses. You can add a sentiment strip to it to use for whatever occasion you need. I would describe it as where grunge and gracious meet.
This will be a messy and fun class where you try out a tonne of mediums and get your hands dirty without a doubt.
