I can’t believe another year has come and gone! I probably started last’s year’s letter the same way, lol, but it’s true. Do you not find yourself reflecting every December on how it got to be December so quickly?
So much has happened this year at the store it’s crazy. I hosted the most talented Karan Gerber, former design team member for Heartfelt Creations and current design team member for 49&Market, not once but twice for two incredible weekends of projects. She is scheduled to come again this spring so watch for more details on that soon and save the date for April 27/28. I had a local calligrapher come to teach brush stroke calligraphy. Another local lady taught classes on large paper flowers. Currently I’m still working on arranging an alcohol ink artist to come and show us some cool stuff! Can’t wait to make that happen…I might even get to sit and join the class this time! I arranged a one year anniversary mini crop that most of you agreed was a great alternative to the larger events in the fall. Look for that again sometime this year. I also changed the legion event a little this year, took less people to create more space and created some pretty amazing goodie bags for you (I thought they were pretty amazing lol). Let’s not forget all the changes inside the store! New displays of all kinds and reorganizing to open the whole place up. I’ve been busy! I’m always looking for ways to make things better or ideas you may have. Don’t be afraid to share with me. I welcome all input!
Of course the biggest news this year is my decision to move the store. Most of you by now are aware of the location and reasons behind it. In case you aren’t, I’m moving to 353 Pembroke St E, it’s behind Money Mart on the corner of Cecelia and Pembroke St. It’s slightly smaller but much more suited to what the business has evolved into. I am very excited for the new look and feel of the new place. I know you will love it too! The opening date at the new location is to be February 5. I will be closed for a few days at the end of January to get the move done and if everything goes according to plan February 5 I will be open and ready to rock! Watch the facebook page and your newsletters for more updates.
That brings me to the end of my final post for this year. I wish you and your family a safe, healthy and happy Christmas and New Year. I hope to see you all in the new year and we can start up where we left off, getting inky and creating beautiful things.
